[Nathan is hanging out at a bar, just waiting for the chance to take advantage of today's curse. Judging by the bright pink lipstick smear up his face and his smug grin, he's already been successful at least once. Or... just once. But that's not something he's about to admit.]

They really should have curses like this more often.

[There's a pause as he thinks on that one.] Or maybe curses that are a little more fulfilling. There are only so many times a man can take being left high and dry, you know.

Oh, well, no wonder you were homeless. Why would you run away?

[She considers him for a minute]

[Nathan's not very good at the whole sympathetic thing, but he spares her an awkward pat on the shoulder and takes a break from his sandwich.] That's sort of creepy.

[She snorts and finishes her sandwich, which clearly the City considers some kind of victory, because the next thing she's doing is kissing Nathan on the mouth, sandwich and all.]

[Nathan has his suspicions this is probably more curse related than anything to do with their current conversation, but given the circumstances he thinks it may be better to go with it. So after a stunned silence he decides to play the part of the sympathetic roommate and kiss back.]

[Eden pushes back from him after he kisses her back and socks him in the face. Luckily she's mostly holding back]

What the bloody fuck!

Ow! [Nathan reels back, clutching his face.]

[Really, that was instinct.]

Did yeh kiss me back?

[She looks at him for a long time]

[Is that a deal, then?]

Fine. [He's not impressed by this deal. Why should he have to face consequences for something that wasn't his fault?]

I was just trying to be sympathetic, all right? You don't need to start making threats over it.

[She doesn't want Frankie to find out from someone else is why, dumbass.]

You were talking about your dad, though... you know, what with the cutting and everything. And then all of a sudden you threw yourself at me.

[And the sandwich is gone. Just as well Nathan isn't cursed, or that could be considered a victory.]
